About this module
Australia has one of the lowest rates of cervical cancer in the world, largely as a result of the success of the National Cervical Screening Program (NCSP).
Changes to the program since 2017, including the move from Pap Tests to HPV testing and the availability of self-collection as a screening option for all eligible participants, are based on the latest available evidence on the development and prevention of cervical cancer.
This course bundle includes all five education modules developed for healthcare professionals to provide education on the National Cervical Screening Program.

Learning outcomes
After completing this learning package, you should be able to:
- Identify the link between human papillomavirus (HPV), cervical cell abnormalities and the development of cervical cancer.
- Identify the current National Cervical Screening Program recommendations and evidence supporting them.
- Identify strategies or approaches to increase participation specifically in populations that have higher rates of being under-screened and never screened.
- Identify best practice procedure for self-collected and clinician-collected tests.
- Identify cervical screening results and the appropriate follow-up according to the cervical screening pathway.
